DN Little League playoffs resume

Del Norte Little League All-Star teams are in the throes of Oregon District 8 Tournament play this coming weekend in Gold Hill, Ore.

The Del Norte Little League 10andndash;11 Baseball All-Stars struggled in their first two games at the District 8 tournament.

The Warriors dropped their first game, 14-1 in five innings to Grants Pass American Little League on June 29. Del Norte lost its second game on June 30 to Medford American Little League, 10-1, the lone run coming on a Gabe Provencio home run.

On Wednesday afternoon, Del Norte dropped its final pool play

game, 13-3 in five innings, to Brookings-Harbor Little League. The

Warriors begin bracket play Saturday at 3 p.m. against Grants Pass


The Del Norte Little League 9andndash;10 Baseball All-Stars had a

successful first weekend, going 3-1 in District 8 pool play. Additional

results were unavailable at press time.

Del Norte's next game will be Friday against an opponent to be determined.


11-12 Baseball All-Stars and the Senior Softball All-Stars have not yet

begun tournament play. The 11-12 Baseball All-Stars' first game takes

place Sunday at 5 p.m. in Gold Hill, against either Medford National

Little League or Grants Pass National Little League. The time and date

for the Senior Softball All-Stars' first game was not available at press
