The Del Norte High Warriors shut out the Arcata High Tigers in a 49-0 win that took the local team to 2-2 in league play.

Junior RB Chad Bell followed up with three more touchdowns, his first following a second Tigers fumble that was recovered, once again, on their own 20.
He used his strength from 7 yards out for a touchdown on the Warriors' ensuing drive, which was kept alive with a quarterback keeper by Senior Dylan Pease on a fourth and five in the middle of the drive.
It was Bell who kept the drive going on the next possession, with a big fourth down rush. His number was called to finish it out with a 9-yard scamper following his blockers.
The Tigers' opening second half drive ended with another fumble on their own 25-yard line, which was recovered by junior left guard Zach Taylor.
Jackson Evans would have scored on the following play but a holding penalty forced the Warriors to try again. The drive was threatened after junior kicker Jonathon Calderon's field goal kick went right, but a roughing the kicker penalty advanced the sticks. Pease scored from 11 yards out, taking the lead to 35-0 with 9:17 left in the third quarter.
Junior linebacker Napooi Shorty scored on a 35-yard interception return.
The Tigers came close to scoring the next drive after a 55-yard run by junior running back Cormack McGrady that took the ball to the 7-yard line. But the Tigers fumbled again, leading to a Del Norte recovery on its own 20-yard line.
McGrady's run accounted for a majority of the Tigers' 82 total yards.
Junior running back Anthony Jackson scored the last Warrior touchdown with a 13-yard run.
The Warriors ended with 272 rushing yards on 44 attempts and 48 passing yards on 5 completions out of 7. The team is now 2-4 overall.
