The Del Norte softball team struggled in Redding over the weekend at the Anderson Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

The Warriors went 0-4 over the weekend, falling to Placer 17-2, Paradise 11-0 and Enterprise 12-4 in pool play on Friday.

On Saturday, Del Norte lost 14-2 in the first round.

"We played some very good teams," Moore said. "They had some girls that were outstanding, both pitchers and hitters."

Although the competition in Redding was excellent, Moore was expecting his team to compete more closelywith teams in the tournament.

"They know what they did wrong," Moore said. "We did some things right, but it seemed like we did more things wrong than we did right, and we can't win games like that."

Del Norte is scheduled to play Illinois Valley today, starting at 4:30 p.m. at home. The Warriors beat Illinois Valley 19-0 on the road when the teams met seven days earlier.
