Junior Derby open to interested skaters

The North Coast Junior Roller derby would like to invite interested skaters, ages 7andndash;17, to come out to the fairgrounds for practice Tuesday through Thursday, from 5 to 6 p.m.

The junior roller derby, recently named the Tsunami Killers, currently has over 15 skaters on the roster.

Coaches will be present in the main building at 4:30 p.m. to help kids put their gear on and get warmed up. The North Coast Roller Derby must have USARS insurance before they will be permitted to put on skates, but interested kids and parents are welcome to come watch a practice and talk to coaches and skaters.

DNTV features Warrior softball

The Del Norte softball team will be featured on "Warrior Sports with Donnie Mattz" this week on Charter Cable channel 4.

The Warriors game against Eureka will be aired nightly at 7:30 p.m. beginning Wednesday.
