Mike Mouser, 56, of Klamath and Salem, Ore. died Aug. 13.

He was born May 11, 1947 in Salem, Ore, and lived in Klamath from 1950.

He attended Klamath Union Elementary and Del Norte High School.

He served in the U.S. Army's 101st Infantry in Vietnam from 1967-1968. He worked for Granite Construction as a cat skinner, helping to build U.S. Hwy. 299, and in later years as a cat skinner and timber faller for Simpson and Miller Rellim. He was a very dedicated and a hard worker.

He was a very generous and loving person. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially loved being a grandpa.

He enjoyed hunting, clamming and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Chris Sackett of Brookings; his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Candi Mouser of Lynden, Wash.; three beloved grandchildren, Haleigh Mouser, Clayton Sackett and Brodie Sackett; his mother, Maxine Mouser of Klamath, Calif.; his brother, Garry Mouser of Ruch, Ore.; and his sister, Diana Mouser of Stites, Idaho.

He is also survived by nephews and nieces, Richard and April Mouser, Joell Swan, Sean and Melissa Norbury, Barbara and chris Estrada, Joe and Kathy Hayes, Brandi and Eric Schunneman, Tanya and Tony Sturman, David and Louisa Mouser; , and numbers great-nieces and nephews.

His brother, Buddy Mouser, and his father, Bill Mouser, preceded him in death.

Following his funeral, friends and family are invited to celebrate his life Friday at 3 p.m. at Maxine Mouser's home, 700 Hunter Creek Road in Klamath.
