Lighthouse Quilting Guild is finalizing its plans for Quilt Fest ‘07, titled "A Century and Two Fat Quarters," which will be held at the main building of Del Norte Fairgrounds on Saturday and Sunday.

Featured quilter this year is Marjory Stitt, who the guild said "exemplifies the best of quilters." A display of her work is included in the show.

One hundred thirty-two quilts have been received. Visitors can vote for their favorite quilt in each category. Two quilts will be raffled on Sunday at 3 p.m.

Proceeds from the raffle will go toward scholarships awarded to Del Norte High School graduates each year.

Vendors and demonstrations will be on hand, and attendees can shop the guild's Country Store. Attendees can also design a quilt block to be sewn together by guild members and added to others to make quilts for wounded soldiers.

Lunch is available. Entry is a $3 donation. The hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday/10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.
