Letters: Grange members and families helped with fair clean-up

I just read The Daily Triplicate's article about our county fair and how well it did, and I have to agree it was a wonderful fair as always ("Fair grosses more in ticket sales," Aug. 8). Every year I have family come from Redding to enjoy our ‘big' small town fair.

The only problem I had with the article was the clean-up info in the barns.

On Sunday evening I watched a large group of Grange members (kids and dads) break down and stack pens and sweep out a large portion of the barn by hand. Then the next morning Grange families showed up to clean the Ace building and brought a back hoe in to help the process.

I'm sure the 4-H families did their share as they always do, but let's give some credit in the paper to the Grange families who worked just as hard to get things back to normal and show their appreciation to all the people who make our fair happen.
