July 20, 2007 12:00 am

The Del Norte Grizzlies American Legion team lost 5-2 to the Eureka Falcons Thursday night at the District Tournament in Fortuna, despite an outstanding pitching performance by Justin Yslas. He pitched a complete game and gave up only six hits. The problem was Del Norte gave up nine errors in the field. "You can't win a game by committing nine errors," head coach Eric Enos said. Kevin Walsworth went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and a single. Robbie Harrison went 2-for-4. The Grizzlies season is on the line today as they face Southern Humboldt at 4 p.m. If Del Norte loses the game, they are eliminated from the tournament and the team's season is over.
