Letters: Bring accountability to city hall with audits, televising meetings

July 16, 2007 11:00 pm

For years now, I've advocated televising meetings and conducting a forensic audit of city hall. While not a cure-all, I certainly believe nothing would do more to bring transparency and accountability back.

For example, if you are concerned about the remuneration of city council members, then you'll be shocked when the Redevelopment Department is audited.

In their own words, "We can't do that anymore."
