The West Coast Governors' Agreement on Ocean Health has launched a Web site on the effort by Washington, Oregon and California to manage and protect the ocean and resources along the West Coast by following recommendations from the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy and the Pew Oceans Commission.

The agreement calls on the state government offices to draft an action plan. A series of meetings on the issue continues and an action plan could come out in fall 2007. The public can comment until Aug. 1.
