The day for setting the trial date of a Pelican Bay staff member who allegedly had sex with multiple inmates was determined Thursday.

Bonnie Sue Freeman, 51, was scheduled to appear in Del Norte County Superior Court on April 17. She faces three counts of having oral copulation and sexual intercourse with inmates at the maximum security facility.

Freeman allegedly had relations with three different prisoners from April 2006 to February of this year. She was a supervising cook at Pelican Bay.
