Forest Service items go up for auction

A public auction will be held 9 a.m. April 13 at Shasta District Fairgrounds in Anderson. Used U.S.D.A. Forest Service surplus vehicles will be sold.

Included in the sale are about 389 items such as trucks, heavy equipment, trailers, mechanical tools and supplies, and various parts. All will be sold to the highest bidder, and bidders must register between 8-9 a.m. April 13.

The auction will be held in Shasta Hall building, 1890 Briggs St., with bidding, sale and transfer to take place on site.

The vehicles will not be available to view the day of the sale. Interested buyers may see them from April 9-12 at the following locations:

•Mendocino National Forest, 825 N. Humboldt Ave., Willows

•Klamath National Forest, 1030 South Main St., Yreka

•Lassen National Forest, 1301 Fifth St., Susanville

•Six Rivers National Forest, 1330 Bayshore Way, Eureka

•Shasta-Trinity National Forest, 6101 Airport Road, Redding

•Modoc National Forest, 706 W. 12th St., Alturas

•Plumas National Forest, 825 N. Humboldt Ave., Willows
