Local philanthropist Bill Stamps Jr. pleaded guilty to alcohol-related reckless driving in Del Norte County Superior Court Thursday.

Stamps Jr.'s blood alcohol level was 0.10, which is within 0.08 to 0.11 percent range that qualifies first-time offenders for a "wet reckless" conviction.

Stamps will be on probation for three years, have to attend a drinking and driving class and pay an $870 fine.
