The Crescent City Rotary Club has helped stock books in a poor school in Uganda.

The club collected $4,500 from its members to send ot St. Paul's High School in Kampala, Uganda.

The money will buy books for the school's library, which is under construction and is set to end in April. The school has 30 teachers and more than 580 students.

"This is part of Rotary's worldwide mission to increase literacy throughout the entire globe and fits with this year's theme, which is 'Lead the Way,'" Crescent City Rotary Club President Scott Feller said.
