In late January, Nevada sheriff's deputies raided the home of a known gang member in Carson City. What they found has reverberated through law enforcement agencies across Nevada and California.

Deputies seized 2 grams of pink, strawberry-flavored that supposedly originated in Sacramento.

Despite this claim, officials from the Drug Enforcement Agency and other law enforcement entities have not found and strawberry meth.

"We've heard about it on the streets," said Bill Ruzzamenti of the Central Valley High Intensity Drug Traffick-ing Area. "We just don't see it."

But deputies at the Del Norte County Sheriff's Office have. On Jan. 8 they found less than a gram while serving a search warrant.
