The restrooms at Brother Jonathan Park will be replaced in early 2007, as Crescent City has received a state grant that covers most the costs.

Public Works Director Jim Barnts said the restrooms were more than 30 years old and a hassle for city workers to maintain.

"It gets to a point where we need to upgrade and replace," Barnts said. "To have nice, new, modern and more indestructible restrooms is a good thing."
