Crescent City does have drug rehabilitation center

In response to Cassie Johnson's April 3 letter ("Drug rehab center would help"), we do have drug rehab right here in Crescent City.

Since October 2005, we had two State of California licensed residential treatment facilities for adult males and two clean and sober houses for both men and women. We are also working on opening a residential facility for adult women as soon as the city permits are granted hopefully, this summer.

Jordan Recovery Centers have worked successfully with and had great support from federal and state parole, county probation, Del Norte County superior court and our local district attorney's office. Our local agencies have been very supportive of any person with alcohol- and drug-related charges, who really wants help, and who will follow through with terms of probation for treatment and enter a program seeking true recovery. The chance of recovery under these situations is been greatly improved because of this team effort Jordan Recovery Center provides programs for up to several months residential and then up to 12 months transitional housing. We can accommodate almost any length of program, even the long-term programs recommended for addiction to methamphetamine.

Jordan Recovery Center has had above average success rates. Our follow-up records show a very good ratio of people who are still clean and sober and employed 6, 9 and 12 months after treatment. We are very proud of what we have been able to accomplish with a great deal of community support and from local businessmen, such as Roy Tedson of Investment Realty and Richard Brown of Brown Construction.

Anyone can call our office, and we would be happy to tell you about our program.
