While the Yurok Tribe continues its commercial fishing nearby, the mouth of the Klamath River is where it’s at for recreational fishermen who have been landing thousands of Chinooks since the season opened Aug. 15. The means of capturing the suddenly accessible salmon vary, with poles, nets and even bare hands employed. If you’re a Del Norter and you haven’t eaten fresh salmon recently, you’re probably in the minority. Crescent Harbor Gallery’s annual Salmon Feed is today from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
