The Pistol River Concert Association will host The Quiet American at 8 p.m. on Saturday at the Pistol River Friendship Hall.

The Quiet American is a husband and wife duo, Aaron and Nicole Keim. A homegrown modern folk revival, their music incorporates traditional ballads, banjo breakdowns, raggy choruses, gospel duets and other dusty Americana gems, all delivered on a wide variety of acoustic instruments.

Gathered around a single microphone, Aaron and Nicole present a concert experience that pays tribute to old-time folk music traditions, yet strives to connect to a modern audience.

They will be joined on stage by bassist Ronnie Ontiveros.

Dusty back porch or shining concert hall, The Quiet American reminds you why homemade, hand-crafted, American folk music will never fade away.

Tickets cost $15 and are available at Wright’s Custom Framing in Brookings and at Gold Beach Books in Gold Beach.

Tickets may also be reserved online at www.pistolriver.com or by calling (541) 247-2848.
