Michael Hernandez
Michael Hernandez passed away on Feb. 2, at Enloe Medical Center in Chico, Calif. He was born on Aug.10, 1960, in Montclair, Calif., to Pedro and Sylvia Hernandez.

Michael grew up in Ontario, Calif. He went to Ontario High School. Michael moved to Crescent City in 1990. He worked eight years for Hambro as a machinist/millwright.

Michael and his son Ruben became residents of Crescent City in 1990. Michael enjoyed being with family, going to the river, camping, and watching his Green Bay Packers. Michael touched so many people’s lives with his many acts of generosity and kindness. He opened his heart and door to anyone in need. If we ever needed a mechanic, he was always there to fix our cars.

Michael loved his family and was so proud of his four sons. He loved and spoiled his granddaughters. Michael always had a soft spot for his goddaughters and nieces; they knew all they had to do was ask and he would give them anything.

Michael is survived by his mom, Sylvia Hernandez of Smith River, Calif., and Amanda, mother of his sons Aaron, Anthony and Aidan of Smith River, Calif., Ruben (Alisha) and granddaughters Nina, Aaliyah and Aviana of Crescent City; his brothers, sisters, and their spouses: Mary (Johnnie) Rodriguez, Grace Jauregui of Pomona, Calif., Danniel (Mary) Hernandez, Theresa Garcia, David (Jackie) Hernandez, Frank (Tracy) Hernandez of Azusa, Calif., Anna Alvarez of Santa Ana, Calif., Robert Hernandez of Azusa, Calif., and Tina (Elloy) Navarro along with his nieces and nephews.
