Boys tennis falls to Arcata on the road 

The boys tennis team travled to Arcata on Saturday for a Humboldt-Del Norte League match up with the Tigers.

The Warriors lost 7-2 as a team, picking up a win in singles and a forfiet in doubles.

Del Norte’s Ger Xiong was the only Warrior to win his match, besting Arcata’s No. 2 player 6-4, 1-6, 6-2.

In doubles, Del Norte’s No. 3 team of Lyndon Yang and Rocky Lo picked up a forfiet after Arcata’s Tyler Courtemanche got injured.

Softball against Loggers pushed up

The Del Norte High softball team announced Monday that its home game against Eureka has been moved ahead one day.

The Warriors will now square off with the Loggers on Thursday beginning at 4 p.m.

Boys basketball on “Warriors Sports”

Del Norte boys basketball will be back on “Warriors Sports” this week.

The Warriors home game against McKinleyville will be shown nightly at 7:30 p.m. beginning on Wednesday.

AAU girls spaghetti and silent auction 

The Del Norte Girls AAU basketball program is holding a spaghetti feed and silent auction to raise money for the fifth- through eighth-grade teams.

The event takes place April 12, from 4-8 p.m. at the Crescent Fire Protection building at 255 Washington Blvd.Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Patrons may eat in, drive through or pick up their orders to go.
