Middle School Track

Crescent Elk’s Olivia Stilwell gets out of the blocks quickly on her way to winning the seventh grade 100 meter dash. Stilwell also won the long jump.
 The third and final Del Norte middle school track and field meet of the season took place on Wednesday at Del Norte High School. 

Redwood won the team competition for the seventh grade boys, the eighth grade boys and the seventh grade girls. Smith River prevented a Redwood sweep, however, by winning the eighth grade girls team competition. 

Smith River eighth grader Omar Ramirez won the long jump by over four inches with a mark of 11-feet-5.5.

Crescent Elk and Azalea were also in attendence. 

Paulina Gonzalez of Redwood won the eighth grade high jump by clearing 4-feet-4.
