Obituary: Jules Legier (Dec. 20, 1930 – June 14, 2014)

Jules lived in Del Norte County from 1959 to 2012 before moving to Eureka. His family roots were in Humboldt County, especially the community of Pepperwood. After serving four years in the Air Force, Jules attended HSU. His teaching career was at Del Norte High School, where he taught history, civics and economics. He took an active role in both Crescent City and Gasquet community affairs. Fishing, camping, boating and current event discussions were also an important part of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, son and daughter-in-law Tyge and Sherry Legier; daughter Tressa Luke, and grandson Travis Luke. He is additionally survived by his sisters-in-law Edith (Richard) Harmer and Mary Ann Hart, niece Sharon (Tom) Hatch, nephews Glen (Pam) and Mark (Karen) Harmer, and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
