Obituaries: Gaydawn Cherylaine Marvin(1958-2007)

Gaydawn Cherylaine (Mouse) Marvin passed away on Oct. 13, 2007 in Humboldt County. Cheryl was born July 2, 1958 in Crescent City. She lived her life in Crescent City attending local elementary schools and graduated from Del Norte High School in 1976.

Cheryl obtained an Associates Degree from College of The Redwoods. She then went to on to earn a Masters Degree from Humboldt Sate University in Arcata. Cheryl spent the last few years of her life as an instructor at College of The Redwoods Del Norte Campus.

Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Douglas Leroy Marvin of Crescent City; her sons Jesse Laine Marvin of Crescent City, and Kevin Matthew Marvin of Sparks, Nev.; brothers Blaine Curven of Smith River, Patrick Gallecher of Brookings, Ore.; sister Robbie Cheek of Sweet Home, Ore.; nephews Dillon Hutchins, Levi Hutchins, Jacob Gallecher and niece Katana Curven.

She was preceded in death by her mother and step-father Joan and Elmer Harp, her brother Douglas Gallecher, and nephew Cody Hutchins, all of Sweet Home, Ore.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation, 1121 S. W. Salmon Street, Portland, OR 97205.

Memorial services will be held at the Foursquare Gospel Church, Saturday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier's Mortuary Chapel of Crescent City.
