Humboldt State University will begin its priority application period on Sunday for students wanting to attend in Fall 2018.
The college will accept applications from first-time freshmen, upper- and lower-division transfer students, returning students, veterans, international students and graduate students, according to an HSU press release.
Potential students and their families can visit the Humboldt State campus during its Fall Preview on Oct. 27.
First-time freshmen should apply for college by the end of the California State University’s priority application period, which ends Nov. 30. Transfer, returning and graduate students should check specific timelines and deadlines at admissions.humboldt.edu. Students can also call the HSU Office of Admissions at 866- 850-9556 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students can also begin applying for financial aid for next fall on Sunday by using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form, according to HSU. The FAFSA helps determine eligibility for various types of state and federal aid.
According to the HSU press release, 70 percent of its students receive some form of financial aid including state and federal grants, institutional aid and subsidized loans. Most students who qualify as low income receive about $10,000 in grant funding, according to HSU.
