Del Norte County will experience stormy weather over the next few days with gusty winds up to 50 mph, up to 5 inches of rain through Thursday and snow for locations that include the Collier Tunnel, according to the National Weather Service.
Predicting sustained winds 20 to 30 mph winds with gusts up to 50 mph, the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from midnight to 6 a.m. Wednesday.
One to two inches of rainfall are also predicted with higher amounts expected on coastal windward slopes, according to the National Weather Service.
Meanwhile a winter weather advisory will be in effect from 4 p.m. Wednesday to 4 p.m. Friday for areas above 2,500 feet. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 7 inches are expected.
Impacted highways include U.S. 199 near Collier Tunnel and California 299.
