It’s been almost a month since Max Greenfield, 26, of Harbor, Oregon, was last seen at the Lucky Seven Casino in Smith River at about 2 a.m. on March 18.
He was reported missing March 20 to the Curry County Sheriff’s Department.
Thursday, Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office released video surveillance footage from the casino that shows Greenfield meeting another subject at a door. The two speak for a minute before walking across the parking lot toward U.S. 101 and out of the frame.
In a video press release, Sgt. Daniel Schneck said the other subject was identified and questioned by authorities.
Searches of the area, including one that covered eight miles along the ocean, have been conducted but have turned up no sign of Greenfield.
Greenfield is described as being about 6 feet tall, weighing 150 to 160 pounds, with dark hair and a skeleton key tattoo on his left forearm.
In the released surveillance video, he was wearing a dark jacket, dark stocking hat, dark shoes with white soles, and carrying a medium-sized duffel bag with what appears to be a soda bottle protruding from the top.
Sheriff Erik Apperson said Friday the sheriff’s office plans to create more video press releases in the future. Currently, the video is not online and was released to area television stations.
