Laura Renee’ (Roberts) Porter passed away on Aug. 30, 2017 after giving up her fight with complications of Colon cancer. She was born Oct. 5, 1966 in Crescent City and lived there most of her life except for a time in Santa Rosa where her son Josh was born. Lori attended Foursquare Christian School, Del Norte High School and Analy High School in Sebastopol.
She was preceded in death by her dad Drew Roberts, Sr., niece Rani and stepbrother Davey. Left with her memory are her mom Judy Malloroy and stepdad David, sister Pennie and Mark, brother Drew, stepsister Misty and their children and grandchildren, her uncle Terry Moore and his family, aunt Debbie and her special “Auntie” Susie and her family.
Her son Josh forever will remain the light of her life along with his wife Khadi, grandsons Landon and Channing and granddaughter Zoey.
Laura had many friends and good times spent in her little backyard oasis: Mike, Oscar, Steve, Keven, Ree, Alissa, Shelly to name a few.
She and her (go-to-anytime) buddy, Bill King, spent many years together through thick and thin. What one didn’t think of, the other one did.
She lived a full life her own way and was proud to be a member of the Tolowa Dee’Ni’ Nation, Smith River and loved special times with cousin Tom and Cherry.
We, in her close family, owe so much to her closest friend and confidant Heather and will forever be so grateful for the hours of tears and laughter they spent together these past years, she was truly Lori’s rock throughout the good and bad times.
We will all love and miss her, she was taken away too soon in her young life and we’re sure her Dad will be waiting for her with open arms.
