The Del Norte girls golf team turned in some of its lowest scores of the season at the fifth Humboldt-Del Norte League meet of the season on Thursday at Eureka Municipal Golf Course.
Freshman Natalie Dantzman saw her score plummet in Eureka with a round of 133 — the lowest score of the day for the Warriors. Dantzman’s previous low score of the season was a round of 146 at Del Norte Golf Course.
Jadyn Gorbet shot her lowest score of the season, and Carolyn Cochran came within two strokes of her best score of the year. Both girls finished the day in Eureka with scores of 136. Elsie Swiderski shaved a total of 11 strokes off of her season-best score with a 137.
Brooke Winningham dropped a couple strokes from her best score of the year with a round of 150, while Abby Pedroza shot her best round by three strokes with a score of 155.
The Warriors finished the day with a team score of 556 overall, which was the team’s best score by 20 strokes.
Del Norte will be back in action at its second to last meet of the season on Wednesday at Willow Creek Golf Course starting at noon.
