Brookings Art Walk
Downtown Brookings will host its second weekend art walk 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Saturday. Several downtown locations will feature live music, art demonstrations and gallery displays. For more information, call 541-469-3123.
Friends of Music
Brookings Harbor Friends of Music continues their 33rd season Sunday with Mayuko Kamio, an award-winning violinist.
Their upcoming lineup includes: Zivian Tomkins Duo, a returning favorite now performing with violinist Axel Strauss on Jan. 14; Nordic Voices, an a cappella group from Scandinavia, on Feb. 11; The Minetti Quartet, a string ensemble from Austria, on March 4; and the Rastrelli Cello Quartet, an outfit dedicated to performing between the genres, on April 15.
The season concludes May 20 with Friends of Music’s annual Scholarship concert, free to all, teaming up with Alexander Tutunov, a professor of piano at Southern Oregon University, to highlight young artists selected as scholarship winners. All concerts take place at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 102 Park Ave., Brookings. Season tickets for all seven performances are $100 and individual concert tickets are $20. Art in Public Places
DNACA’s Art in Public Places show in the Del Norte County Courthouse is titled “Stories We Could Tell: Drawings, Paintings and Book Illustrations,” a multimedia collection by Marcia Voelker. It is available for viewing through Nov. 16. The courthouse is located at 450 H St., Crescent City, and is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays except for state holidays. DNACA’s 26th Annual Juried Multimedia Show
The prospectus and entry forms are now available for the Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness’s 26th Annual Juried Multimedia Show.
The show intake is 5 p.m.-6 p.m. Nov. 16 in the Del Norte County Courthouse at 450 H St., and the exhibit will hang until the reception 5 p.m.-6 p.m. Jan. 18. Music in the Redwoods
Music in the Redwoods 2017-18 concert season continues with Neave Trio, one of the finest emerging young chamber ensembles, 7 p.m. Nov. 17.
The season will also include Two on Tap, classic song and dance Jan. 6; and Duo Baldo, classical and comical piano and violin April 22.

Arts for Veterans
The Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness will host its next drum circle for veterans and their families 4 p.m.-5 p.m. Nov. 18 at the VFW Hall at 810 H St., Crescent City. DNACA’s Arts for Veterans program is funded, in part, by the Veterans Initiative in the Arts, a program of the California Arts Council, a state agency. John Welsh Band
The Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness will present its second performance of the 35th season 7:30 p.m. Nov. 30 at Crescent Elk Auditorium, 994 G St.
John Welsh Band provides a fun blend of West African and Latin rhythms with reggae and surf rock tunes, matched with onstage energy. Tickets are $18 general, $15 senior (65 and older) or transitional-aged youth (18-25), and $12 students.

Curry-Del Norte Orchestra
The 2017 winter concert for the Curry-Del Norte Orchestra will include stunning pieces such as Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” and other holiday favorites the public will be sure to recognize along with selections from John Williams, Antonin Dvorak, and Ralph Vaughn Williams.
The concerts take place 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Bethany Lutheran Church, 94190 5th St., Gold Beach; 3 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Elk Valley Rancheria, 2332 Howland Hill Rd., Crescent City; and 7 p.m. Dec. 4 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1200 Easy St., Brookings.

Crescent Harbor Gallery
Coast Redwoods Art Association’s Crescent Harbor Gallery November Artist of the Month is Pauline Lodolini showcasing her watercolor paintings.
There will be no demo for November or December.
Every Saturday 10:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. is Paint and Play day for children. Every Sunday 1 p.m.-4 p.m. are paint-ins, offering a space and good company for artists and crafters.

California Redwoods Art Association
California Redwoods Art Association’s 2nd St Gallery’s November Artist of the Month is Norman Grochowski, showcasing a multimedia collection.
The Del Norte County Public Library, 190 Price Mall, will also display work by Nina Baron, Carol McKim, Julie Lewis, Cathy Bauer, and Bill Sanchez through Dec. 1.
The Wild Rivers Community Foundation, 990 Front St., has hung paintings by Lee Beising and photography by Betty Depee and will be available for viewing through Feb. 1.
Become a member of the gallery and spend Saturday afternoons painting and networking from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. Art classes for children take place on Saturday mornings. The gallery is also accepting design applications now through Nov. 30 for their “Design and Paint the Front Door” contest.
