Well, it’s that time of year again.

Time to give thanks, spend time with family and friends and give what we can to the children of Del Norte County. That is exactly what we at our Masonic Lodge 45, at 250 9th St., are doing this year.

We’re having our annual Christmas celebration for children. Their parents or guardians are admitted free, and all children will be able to see and talk to Santa and Mrs. Claus. We may also be able to see a few elves, along with his sleigh, reindeer and lots of gifts.

Each child will be able to tell Santa what they want for Christmas or write him a letter.

The Shriners from Brookings will be on hand to give free fingerprint IDs, there will be a day-long silent auction and a raffle for larger items and gifts. Food and beverages will also be served.

Our beautiful lodge will be dressed in appropriate festive decorations; as will Santa and some of his helpers.

If it’s for you and your kids and other precious little ones, ages 1-12, please come out and show our kids in Del Norte County what Christmas is all about.

If you love Christmas as a celebration of our Christian holiday as much as your kids do, then bring them out on this special day and let them see and talk to Santa and Mrs. Claus, get a free gift, have some food and go home with a memorable day that no one will forget.

The celebration will be held from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Masonic Lodge, 250 9th St., Crescent City.
