Luanna Brundin Scott took a trip down Memory Lane on Thursday courtesy of an old photo that appeared in the Triplicate.

Scott said she and her high school classmates, Sally Heady, Steve York, Cheryl Estes and John Carpenter, were participating in a reader’s theater put on by Jack Stafford, a speech teacher at Del Norte High School. The year was 1975, and Scott said she was 16 years old.

“It was a reader’s theater, and we were doing it in front of the whole student body, a ’50s skit,” Scott said. “We had a speech team then. It was a wonderful program.”

Estes also had fond memories of Del Norte High School’s reader’s theater. According to Estes, the reason the students appeared to be swooning in the photo was because they were trying to get Heady out of the wheelchair.
