Coast Redwoods Art Association’s Crescent Harbor Gallery, 140 Marine Way, Artist of the Month for June is Aimee Bolender, showcasing her photography.
June’s demo will be led by Carol McKim on scribble art at noon today, preceded by a potluck.
July’s Artist of the Month is Lynn Parker with a collection of her watercolors.
July’s demo will be led by Philip Wadsworth on clouds in pastel.
The prospectus for the gallery’s Annual National Juried Art Show, which will be on display Sept. 1-30 with a reception from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. on Sept. 1, is now available. Each entry is $20 with a maximum of three per artist and monetary awards will be given. All two-dimensional media is eligible.
Saturdays include a papier maché program at 1 p.m. Mondays 10:30 a.m.-4 p.m. offers a space and good company for artists and crafters.

DNACA’s 36th Performance Series pre-sale season tickets
The Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness will have limited quantities of pre-sale season tickets available before its 2018-19 season lineup is announced Aug. 13.
Pre-sale season tickets provide not only a discount to individual performances, but also to regular season tickets. Just like regular season tickets, they are transferable and will be replaced if lost.
They are available in Crescent City at Del Norte Office Supply, 240 I St., and will be at Live from Downtown’s First Friday from 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m. July 6. They are available in Brookings at Wright’s Custom Framing, 810 Chetco Ave.
General pre-sale season tickets are $65, Senior (65 and older) are $50, Student (k-college full-time) are $40, and Family (2 general and 2 other) are $150. For more information, contact DNACA at 707-464-1336.
California Redwoods Art Association
California Redwoods Art Association’s 2nd St Gallery, 1228 2nd St, Artist of the Month for July is Bonnie Ross with a collection of her paintings.
The Gallery is also displaying members’ collections throughout the community, including: Vita Cucina with Bunny Phillips, Nancy Sander, Tanya Winston, Richard Wardlaw, Steve Washburn, and Cynthia Swain; Sutter Coast Hospital with Mario Vaden, Catherine Balck, Richard Wardlaw, William Harper, Bill Sanchez, and Pauline Lodolini; the Del Norte County Library with Ed Reidel; and Wild Rivers Community Foundation with Christie McRiley, Andrea Mastrangelo, and Billye Woodford through June.
Join them in the Cultural Center, 1001 Front St., noon-8 p.m. July 3 and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 4 for their Arts and Crafts Show with food vendors and opportunity drawings.
Every Wednesday noon-2 p.m. local artist Carol Long teaches oil painting class at the Gallery. Children’s watercolor classes will run from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. on Saturdays July 7-Aug. 28 for $10 per student.
Spirits in Clay classes for children will be held 10 a.m.-noon Mondays July 16-Aug. 6, Wednesdays July 19-Aug. 8 and Wednesday Aug. 8-Aug. 22. These are free of charge thanks to a grant from the Wild Rivers Foundation.

Brian Scott Gallery
Artist of the Month for June at Brian Scott Gallery, 515 Chetco Ave., Brookings, is Anna Garrison, a photographer who uses various techniques to produce her photos and builds her own wooden frames. She also won first place in the Azalea Festival Art Show. For more information, call 541-412-8687.
Lighthouse Quilt Guild Quilt Show 2018
The Lighthouse Quilt Guild will host their annual Quilt Show 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 18 and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.Aug. 19 at the Del Norte County Fairgrounds in Crescent City. This year the theme is Color Explosion and will include vendors, door prizes, a judged quilt show, and more. Admission is a requested $3 donation. Arts for Veterans guitar, creative writing, and drum circles
DNACA’s Arts for Veterans guitar class with Dale Morgan will continue this summer at the VFW Hall, 810 H St., Crescent City.
Intermediate class is at 5:15 p.m. and beginning class is at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesdays running July 10 through Sept. 11. Creative Writing with Barbara Genovese will take place at the Del Norte Senior Center, 1765 Northcrest Dr., 2 p.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays running July 14 through Sept. 1.
Mombo Hernandez will lead a drum circle in Templeman Grove, located off of California 197 on the river side in Hiouchi, 4 p.m.-5 p.m. on July 28.
All activities in DNACA’s Arts for Veterans program are free-of-charge to veterans, active military, and their family members. The program is funded, in part, by Veterans in the Arts, a program of the California Arts Council, a state agency.

Art in Public Places
The Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness’ Art in Public Places exhibit is titled “Art by Veterans,” a collection of artwork created by students in DNACA’s Arts for Veterans program, funded, in part, by Veterans in the Arts, a program of the California Arts Council, a state agency. The exhibit will be up through Aug. 9 when the public is invited to a reception 5 p.m.-6 p.m. honoring the artists.
DNACA’s Art in Public Places exhibits are available for viewing in the Del Norte County Courthouse, 450 H St., Crescent City. The courthouse is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays except for state holidays.

Manley Art Center and Gallery
The Manley Art Center and Gallery, 433 Oak St., Brookings, will display a collection of ribbon winners from the Azalea Art Festival through August.
New work by Pete Chasar will also be on display July 3-July 30, with a discussion at 4 p.m.July 14 during Art Walk.
The Gallery is open 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. Children of all ages are invited to the Center from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays to see work created by member artists and work in the classroom.
