A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the June 22 homicide of a 22-year-old Crescent City man found dead in Oregon.

Damian Lee Atwood, 22, was arrested Tuesday by Oregon State Police. Atwood is one of three suspects in the case of victim John William Reitterer, whose body was found near a hiking trail along the Illinois River near Selma, Oregon. The death was determined to be a homicide but little information was given about the discovery or investigation at the time.

On November 28, 2017, the completed investigation was presented to a Josephine County Grand Jury. The grand jury returned murder indictments against three persons and warrants were issued, according to an OSP release.

That same day, Ryan Eldred, 22, was arrested and jailed for murder.

A third suspect, Elizabeth Devine Hudson, 22, also known as Little Red, remains a fugitive.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Hudson is asked to call the Oregon State Police Dispatch Center at 541-664-4600.
