The case

David Ken Lee and brother Peter Meng Lee were being sought by the DA’s office in 2016 in connection with a kidnapping and rape investigation. David Ken Lee was identified as a second suspect in a 2015 rape case and a warrant was issued for his arrest at the time.

Another suspect in the case, Wilson Lor, was first tried in May 2016 for forcing a then 24-year-old Crescent City woman into a home, along with two other suspects and raping her. Lor’s first trial ended with a hung jury.

In a second trial the next month, Lor was found guilty and sentenced to 25 years to life in state prison.

It is not yet known if Peter Meng Lee has been located or arrested.

Court Executive Officer Sandy Linderman said the trial is scheduled to continue through the week, maybe longer.
