Today’s Del Norte County Board of Supervisors’ meeting has a full agenda, starting with a public hearing to consider the recommended county budget, the annual children’s budget and use of the “Stimson Fund” to lease sheriff’s patrol vehicles and county position changes.

The board will hold a public hearing to introduce an ordinance causing a rezone of commercial timber lands.

The board will hear a presentation by city and county delegates who traveled to Rikuzentakata, Iwate, Japan in June.

The board will also hear a presentation from the Cannabis Working Group regarding its discussions on commercial cannabis ordinances.

The board will review and discuss findings of the 2017/18 Grand Jury report and give direction to staff.

Regarding its Aug. 28 vote to support Proposition 6, the board will discuss and take possible action to oppose the proposition, citing new information.

Supervisors will also consider 13 consent agenda items. The consent agenda is reserved for non-controversial items that can be approved in a single motion. Supervisors may pull a consent item for discussion and separate vote.
