The Del Norte County District Attorney said Monday she is still trying to determine what charges will be sought against a 23-year-old man recently arrested and accused of killing 66-year-old David John Mosher of Klamath.

Joshua Lee Roberts, also of Klamath, is lodged in in Del Norte County Jail following a four-month investigation of a house fire.

Del Norte County Sheriff’s Cmdr. Bill Steven said Roberts’ arrest stems from a June house fire at 130 Klamath Glen. Investigators found Mosher’s body a short distance from the burned home following the fire and an investigation has been ongoing since, according to Steven.

Roberts was picked up Wednesday by Crescent City Police.

District Attorney Katie Micks said her office has not made a charging decision in the case.

In addition to being accused of killing Mosher, Roberts was arrested for malicious arson and resisting arrest for attempting to damage the interior of a police patrol vehicle.

Micks said the sheriff’s office has forwarded all reports to her for review.

Anyone with information in the case should contact sheriff’s detectives 707-464 4191.
