At the end of a six-month search, Coast Central Credit Union announced Monday that it has promoted James T. Sessa the institution’s senior vice president and CEO.
“We chose James because he is a values-driven, member-focused, strategic leader who is respected throughout the community and the credit union industry,” said Ron Rudebock, board chairman. “He has demonstrated strong leadership skills and has an excellent working relationship with the management and staff.”
Sessa said he is honored to serve in the president CEO position and looks forward to new challenges.
“At the same time, we are in an exciting era of incredible technological and social change. Rapid adoption of smartphones and tablets, wireless Internet and social connectivity has enabled a new 24/7 model for anytime, anywhere access to accounts, financial services, and payments,” he said.
Sessa has 36 years of experience in the financial services industry with 32 years in a senior management capacity including the past 10 years as Coast Central’s vice president of administration/chief financial officer. Sessa started his credit union career in 1981 on the teller line after earning his degree in business administration from Humboldt State University. He is also a graduate of the CUNA Management School at Claremont College.
Sessa lives in McKinleyville with his wife.
