Excerpts from the call logs of the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Department: 

Sunday, Nov. 3 

At 12:42 a.m., caller requested the removal of a male subject causing a disturbance at the store on the 900 block of Washington Boulevard.  

At 1:09 a.m., caller requested the removal of a male subject loitering around and digging through trash on the 600 block of U.S. Highway 101. 

At 1:50 a.m., caller requested a welfare check on a subject lying on the ground on the 400 block of L Street. 

At 2:07 a.m., caller reported her vehicle was stolen from restaurant on the 1200 block of 5th Street by a subject who had a spare key. The subject was claiming they did not take it. 

At 5:38 a.m., caller reported there was a male subject in the casino on the 300 block of Indian Road who stated he was assaulted near the river.  

At 8:27 a.m., hospital emergency room requested a welfare check on a patient who walked out of the building on the 800 block of Washington Boulevard with an IV. 

At 9:07 a.m., caller reported a subject who was issued a trespass warning was in the back of his vehicle in the parking lot of the 1300 block of Northcrest Drive.  

At 10:45 a.m., caller reported a mattress leaned up against a stop sign on the corner of 4th and A Street was blocking the view of oncoming traffic at the intersection. 

At 1:26 p.m., caller reported subjects squatting on her property on the 300 block of Dakota Street. 

At 1:46 p.m., caller reported someone listening to their music very loudly on the corner of Leif Circle and Steelhead Street.  

At 2:36 p.m., caller reported subjects were starting fires on their property on the corner of Iowa Street and Maiden Lane. 

At 3:11 p.m., caller reported two subjects were in a public fight, and the male subject was pushing down on the female subject’s bike on the Elk Valley Road. 

At 3:53 p.m., caller reported she beat up a subject and stole her car back from the subject who had it on the 1000 block of U.S. Highway 101.  

At 5:38 p.m., caller reported a subject sitting in the parking lot on the 400 block of Harding Street alone. He took medication and then started reading his Bible. 

At 5:53 p.m., caller reported a known female subject having a fit and trashing her trailer on the 100 block of Elk Valley Road. 

At 6:25 p.m., caller reported the door to the charging station on the corner of Front and K Street was broken down. 

At 6:48 p.m., caller reported he heard gunshots on the 300 block of Dayton Road and that subjects were shining a flashlight into a tree.  

At 7:03 p.m., caller requested a vehicle check on a vehicle that has been parked and left on the 12400 block of U.S. Highway 101. 

At 7:52 p.m., caller reported suspicious subjects in front of the store on the 300 block of U.S. Highway 101. 

At 8:46 p.m., caller requested a welfare check on a male subject acting strangely on the 300 block of M Street. 

At 9:05 p.m., caller reported a vehicle across the street from the 300 block of B Street that pulled up after dark and has a blanket covering the windows. 

At 9:31 p.m., caller reported a female subject who attempted to walk out with an item and then caused a disturbance on the 300 block of U.S. Highway 101. 

At 9:44 p.m., caller reported a subject in a white vehicle who was traveling at a slow speed and unable to maintain a lane on the corner of U.S. Highway 101 and the Washington Boulevard overpass. 

At 9:46 p.m., caller reported subjects in a fight on the 100 block of Elk Valley Road. The male subject had some sort of whip and was hitting the car. 

At 10:38 p.m., caller reported she could hear a female subject screaming and crying from a vehicle as it drove away from a nearby apartment complex on the 900 block of Pacific Avenue. Caller believed the subject may have been held against her will.  

At 11:13 p.m., caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on the corner of Cooper Avenue and Humboldt Street.  

 

Monday, Nov. 4 

At 2:16 a.m., a vehicle rolled over into a ditch with the driver trapped inside on the corner of Elk Valley and Church Tree Road. 

At 3:44 a.m., caller reported a male subject prowling around the 600 block of U.S. Highway 101.  

At 4:12 a.m., a vehicle hit an elk on U.S. Highway 101. 

At 5:51 a.m., caller reported her husband walked away from the hotel in which they were staying on the 100 block of L Street and had not returned. 

At 7:36 a.m., caller reported she was flagged down by an unknown female who stated her husband was stuck in the building on the 1000 block of Harrold Street. 

At 8:07 p.m., someone reported substance abuse in a vehicle on the 1200 block of 9th Street. 

At 8:53 a.m., caller reported a subject sleeping in his vehicle on the 1300 block of Northcrest Drive.  

At 9:24 a.m., caller reported hearing people yelling at the Price Mall Fountain. 

At 9:34 a.m., caller reported a handyman she told not to come back was back at her house on the 100 block of 9th Street.  

At 9:44 a.m., caller reported a suspicious vehicle kept coming to her residence on the 1400 block of Douglas Street in the middle of the night and turning around. 

At 10:03 a.m., caller believed a subject was living with her mother on the 2400 block of Elk Valley Road took advantage of her estate. 

At 10:50 a.m., caller reported two suspicious subjects walking on the side of the road and yelling strange things on the corner of Lake Earl Drive and Alder Road.
