Rudy W. Hammack, 70, of Crescent City, passed away on June 3, 2018. He was born on Jan. 22, 1948, in Healdsburg to J.V. and Lucille Hammack. He graduated from Healdsburg High School and Santa Rosa Junior College with honors and was a sergeant in the U.S. Army.

He was the owner of Redwood Appliance Service and also worked at Sears and was a former corrections officer with the State of California. Rudy’s hobbies included cars, bikes, guns and so much more.

Rudy is survived by his wife Kathy, his daughters, Jeanne Denburger and Ari, and Julie Bales and Billy; grandchildren; Tylor and Taylor Morgan, Kenten Brannon, and Brittany Hamilton; brother Darrell Hammack and wife Marie; niece Michell and David Braddick and their children Emily and Kyle Braddick; nephew Chris Hammack; and Karl and Marilyn Brown; and Roberta Fautt, his father’s long-time companion.

He was the best husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend anyone could have.

Rudy and Kathy would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 17, 2018.

The family would like to express special thanks to Karl and Marilyn Brown for prayers, love, support and help; and also to Kenneth Baker and all the bikers that gave up their Father’s Day to bring Rudy home.
