Nadine Etta Gardner, 87 years of age, passed away on Jan. 25, 2019, in Crescent City. She was a resident of Fort Dick for over 50 years. Nadine was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Chadron, Nebraska.

Nadine was greatly loved by any whose life she touched. Due to her love of the outdoors and love for flowers and plants, she spent many years picking ferns to sell to evergreen buyers which were shipped all over the world to be used for flower arrangements. Nadine also loved her dogs and they, in turn, loved her and would be really happy to see her. Nadine had a heart of gold and we were also so blessed by her loving and giving ways that we will feel a deep void without her. Her family is at peace and joy that she is in heaven. We love you and will see you again one day, Mom.

Nadine passed from this earthly life into eternity in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ. She will be reunited with the love of her life, husband Denver Gardner, Sr., and her great-granddaughter, Faith, who passed in infancy.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Robert Gardner (Pat); Denver Gardner, Jr. (Elaine); John Gardner, Penny Bennett (Steve); Frank Gardner (Linda); Michael Gardner (Juanita); Cheryl Bartow (Fred); Laurie Gardner. She also leaves behind over 20 grandchildren and over 30 great-grandchildren.

Private family services have been held.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel.
