It is with incredible sadness that the family of Douglas Kent Davis announce his passing on Jan. 31, 2019, at the age of 56 years. Kent will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Douglas and Sharon Davis; his four siblings; his wife of 35 years, Kimberly; his 13 children, Kade, Kayla, Kale, Kacia, Kyler, Kenzi, Kiera, Kiani, Kolton, Kamryn, Karson, Kalea, and Kaleb; his nine grandchildren; and countless other family members and friends. Kent, as he was known, grew up in McKinleyville. The family moved to Crescent City in 1989. Kent worked as a California Highway Patrol officer for 28 years, retiring in 2015.

A ceremony in celebration of Kent’s life will be held Saturday, Jan. 9 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the Cultural Center, 1001 Front St., Crescent City.
