Dolores Lorraine Hoffman passed away on Feb. 7, 2019, in Grass Valley, at the age of 87.

Born on June 19, 1931, in Tuolumne, Dolores was a long-time resident of Crescent City. Retired as the school secretary from Bess Maxwell School, she was active and independent for her entire life. She enjoyed bowling and golf, games with friends and her family was her greatest joy. God only made one like her.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 1 p.m.– 4 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, 359 H St., in Crescent City. All who knew her are welcome to attend.

Dolores was predeceased by her husband of more than 50 years, Theodore Hoffman, in 2004; brother, Bill Scott; and her parents, Vic and Ada Scott, all of Crescent City. She is survived by her brother, Dick Scott; children, Mike Hoffman, Suzie Yeager and Rick Hoffman. She had grandchildren, Nathan Hoffman, Sean Hoffman, Riley Hoffman, Mason Shipley, Haley Wright, Travis Restad, Joseph Yeager, Cody Hoffman, and Jayson Hoffman; great-grandchildren included, Colton Hoffman, Morgan Shipley, TJ Wright, and CJ Hoffman.

The family asks that any gifts be made to the Hospice Foundation so that a service may be established in Crescent City.
