For anyone who saw the Lighthouse Repertory Theater production of Edward Albee’s play “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” you know what a delight it was to watch. From the cast and crew to the beverages and sweet treats made by the board president, David McPhail, all was purely delightful.

In addition, the lighting, costumes, set and sound were absolutely perfect. And while the actors, Susan Daugherty and Howard Patterson gave much deserved credit to director Kurt Kurtis, when I spoke with them after the play had closed its run, the chemistry of Susan, Howard, Elizabeth Coburn and Steven Scruggs solidified the production with results from laughter to tears from the audience.

Be sure to make an effort to catch whatever LRT’s next work of art comes to Del Norte County and watch for the theater’s 40-year anniversary celebrated by a Grand Gala this summer and/or make a generous donation to keep this gem towards the goal of their own theater.

Thank you to the board members, volunteers and all involved in supporting Lighthouse Repertory Theater.
