Excerpts from the call logs of the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Department: 

Monday, Dec. 23 

At 2:12 p.m., caller reported a subject was slamming a dog by the collar on the 300 block of M Street. 

At 2:23 p.m., caller reported a subject in a vehicle drove to the end of the street, stopped for a moment and then left the 500 block of Meridian Street. 

At 3:12 p.m., caller reported a non-injury motor vehicle accident on the corner of Front and H Street. 

At 3:15 p.m., caller reported a 100-year-old fell, on the 1000 block of Inyo Court. Head injury and vomiting.  

At 3:30 p.m., caller requested a welfare check on a subject sitting by the bus stop on Front Street who may or may not be intoxicated. 

At 3:42 p.m., caller reported a subject stole a dog from the shelter on the 2600 block of Washington Boulevard.  

At 4:02 p.m., caller reported subject came around the corner on the 500 block of Ninth Street and then started running. 

At 4:11 p.m., caller reported juveniles trying to put a swing in an old tree on the 1300 block of Pebble Beach Drive. Caller was concerned it may break over the ledge.  

At 4:35 p.m., caller reported a subject was brandishing a knife along the roadway at the corner of Northcrest Drive and Washington Boulevard.  

At 4:46 p.m., caller reported she was being harassed by the manager on the 100 block of Elk Valley Road. 

At 4:50 p.m., caller reported two vehicles that had the doors open, and there was a key in an outer door, on the 700 block of Bertsch Avenue. 

At 5:19 p.m., caller requested a welfare check on a subject who had not been heard from in about one week on the 250 block of Elk Valley Cross Road. 

At 5:23 p.m., caller reported a subject was being violent and she was scared for her life on the 1900 block of Northcrest Drive. 

At 5:37 p.m., caller reported two subjects fled the store with some merchandise on the 900 block of Washington Boulevard.  

At 5:48 p.m., caller reported a public fight in the lobby on the 800 block of Washington Boulevard. 

At 6:36 p.m., caller reported her 71-year-old husband had a stroke on the 1500 block of Margie Street, but he was refusing to go to the hospital. 

At 6:53 p.m., caller reported her husband called her house yesterday and spoke with her son, violating a restraining order.  

At 7:02 p.m., caller requested a welfare check on her father on the 100 block of Azalea Court who she was just speaking to who was in pain. 

At 7:08 p.m., caller requested a walkthrough of the restaurant due to two subjects coming in and not ordering anything on the 400 block of U.S. Highway 101. 

At 7:23 p.m., caller reported a structure fire on the 100 block of Leif Circle. 

At 7:29 p.m., caller requested a welfare check on her mother on the 900 block of Pacific Avenue who had not been heard from in over a month.  

At 7:32 p.m., caller reported his father on the 1600 block of Northcrest Drive was out of control. He had not slept in four days and was being aggressive. 

At 8:38 p.m., caller reported male subject walking through the woods screaming on the 5000 block of Wonder Stump Road. 

At 8:44 p.m., caller reported her stepson came to their house on the 40 0block of Macken Avenue and attacked her husband. 

At 9:11 p.m., CHP reported yellow Lab dog running loose on the 2100 block of Elk Valley Road. 

At 9:51 p.m., caller reported an intoxicated subject walking down the 2600 block of Lake Earl Drive and staggering. 

At 9:55 p.m., caller reported a known subject was knocking on his window on the 1600 block of Jefferson Avenue. 

 

Tuesday, Dec. 24 

At 8:26 a.m., CHP reported a rolling public fight on the corner of U.S. Highway 101 and Anchor Way. 

At 9:17 a.m., caller reported a subject walked out without paying on the 1200 block of 5th Street. 

At 9:44 a.m., caller reported a known subject stole item on the 900 block of Washington Boulevard. 

At 9:49 a.m., caller reported a 35-year-old female on the 1700 block of Northcrest Drive severely handicapped with a fever. 

At 11:50 a.m., caller reported an 80-year-old female who fell out of her chair and was unable to get up on the 1700 block of Northcrest Drive. 

At 12:10 p.m., caller reported a non-injury vehicle accident on the corner of Seventh and K Street. 

At 12:26 p.m., caller reported an electrical outlet was smoking on the 16400 block of Highway 101.  

At 12:38 p.m., caller reported someone had his keys and would not give them back on the 1700 block of Northcrest Drive. Caller had sold the vehicle, but the subject had not paid the full amount.  

At 1:43 p.m., caller reported an 82-year-old with a headache on the 1100 block of U.S. Highway 101. 

At 1:46 p.m., caller reported a known subject ran out of the store with merchandise on the 900 block of Washington Boulevard. 

At 1:56 p.m., caller reported her son was kicking things and causing a disturbance on the 600 block of Humboldt Road. 

At 2:23 p.m., caller reported an unknown subject passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle that was parked on his lawn on the 200 block of Mathews Street.  

At 4:23 p.m., caller reported a bike on the side of the road on the corner of Blackwell and Evergreen Lane. 

At 5:06 p.m., caller reported people were after him on the 100 block of L Street. 

At 5:09 p.m., caller reported his wife was refusing to get their child from him on the 1500 block of Parkway Drive. Caller reported there was no existing custody order. 

At 5:45 p.m., caller reported his friend’s wife was following her and flashing her vehicle’s bright lights on the 100 block of Mason Court.  

At 7:24 p.m., multiple callers reported a vehicle parked at the end of the road on the 100 block of Church Tree Drive for the last 45 minutes with lights out. Two subjects got out with flashlights and were walking around. 

At 7:25 p.m., caller reported his family won’t talk to him and they have all his things on the 1400 block of Parkway Drive. 

At 7:45 p.m., caller reported his crab pots were stolen on the 9900 block of B Street Pier. 

At 8:29 p.m., caller reported multiple shots heard on the 2600 block of U.S. Highway 199. 

At 11:01 p.m., caller reported a subject yelling and screaming in a nearby trailer on the 100 block of Elk Valley Road.  

At 11:45 p.m., caller reported one of her tenants was assaulted by her adult son on the 600 block of Elk Valley Road.
