The Second Annual Kids at Heart Slowpitch Softball Tournament is scheduled to take place July 7–8.

The coed tournament is for men and women ages 16 and up and is organized as a fundraiser with all tournament proceeds going to the Klamath Youth Sports Program — affiliated with the Yurok Tribe. Meanwhile, the local Boys and Girls Club in Klamath will also be raising money for its organization by running the snack bar.

As of Thursday, there is still room for one more team to sign up before the tournament reaches its maximum capacity of eight teams.

Each team will play a minimum of three games with competition scheduled for 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on both July 7 and 8.

Cost to participate is $225 per team. Organizer Ryan Ray said teams interested in signing up should give him a call at 707-954-4887.
