Over 520 students at Redwood Elementary School recently took part in a push-up challenge at the school.
The challenge, lasting 10 school days, kicked off with each student doing one push-up on the first day, two push-ups on the second day, and so on until nearly every student in the school finished with 10 push-ups on the last day of the challenge.
Redwood seventh grade students in Scott Lindsay’s homeroom class calculated the Red Raiders school-wide push-up total.
“We figured 28,930,” Lindsay wrote in an email to the Triplicate. “Then we subtracted 10 percent of that because of school absences and the few kids who chose not to participate.”
