Seraph Brass in Concert
Del Norte-Curry Community Concert Association presents Music in the Redwoods, with Seraph Brass on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. Jose Sibaja of Boston Brass says Seraph Brass is “A great blend of fresh sounds and strong musicality.”

Call for Artists - Kamome Festival
As part of the Inaugural Kamome Festival, DNACA is seeking art pieces to display during the festival, being held April 14, 2023 in Crescent City. Artwork should incorporate a theme such as: friendship, boats, ocean, seagulls (Kamome means “seagull” in Japanese), tall trees, or fishing. Artwork may be in any visual art medium, and created at any time, past or present, and will be screened for inclusion in the exhibit.
The Kamome Festival will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of when the little boat called Kamome washed ashore in Crescent City as result of a tsunami in Rikuzentakata, Japan. For more information, please email [email protected].
Solo Art Exhibit by Alexa Antoine Day
Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness (DNACA) is pleased to present a solo art exhibit by Alexa Antoine Day, now on display through April 20, 2023 at the Del Norte Courthouse. Alexa was a featured artist in DNACA’s Juried Art Exhibit where she captured Second Place and an Honorable Mention for her two entries. The exhibit is free to view. The courthouse is located at 450 H St. in Crescent City, and is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. weekdays, except for state holidays. For more information, visit dnaca.net.

Crescent City Art at 1228 2nd St., Crescent City, is open to the public Wednesday - Saturday from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Artist of the Month is Cathy Bauer. Member art exhibits include spray paint artist Spencer Bishop at the Del Norte County Library, watercolor artist Pauline Lodolini at the Smith River Library, and an exhibit of various artists at the Sutter Coast Hospital Infusion Center and in the Main Hall at Sutter Coast Hospital. Coast Redwoods Art Association, Crescent Harbor Art Gallery’s featured artist is Shannan Dailey. As an artist, Shannan enjoys blurring the lines between art and craft, and explores ways to recycle, reuse, and repurpose. Solo Art Exhibit by Billie Ruth Furuichi
DNACA’s Art in Public Places program presents a solo art exhibit by local artist Billie Ruth Furuichi. The exhibit titled “Transformations in Silk” features fine art prints, giclée prints on metal, and even bubble silk, stretched silk, and Chantelle silk.
The exhibit will be displayed through June 15, at the 2nd floor mezzanine of the CEC Airport, 1650 Dale Rupert Rd, Crescent City. The exhibit is free to view, and can be viewed during the airport terminal’s hours: 6 a.m. - 8 p.m. weekdays, 6 - 10 a.m. and 5 - 8 p.m. Saturdays, and 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 5 - 8 p.m. Sundays. The Gallery of Arts & Culture
The Gallery of Arts & Culture at 175 H Street, is currently featuring the photography of Bob Mize. Bob is a local artist who celebrates the Western United States in his images, which are widely collected. His subjects include flora, fauna, and landscapes.
