Dementia video, discussion

The Redwood Caregiver Resource Center is offering a video discussion group titled “Understanding Dementia” from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Dec. 11 in the boardroom at the Del Norte Senior Center, 1765 Northcrest Dr. in Crescent City.

The video, “Complaints of a Dutiful Daughter,” and subsequent discussion will include an overview of dementia, living with ambiguous loss and anticipatory grief, adjusting to new ways of interacting with a cognitively-impaired loved one, and setting realistic expectations.

Redwood Caregiver Resource Center also offers a caregiver tsupport group at the senior center on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
