Food Forest opens with the ‘Harvest Festival’

The Del Norte Food Forest held its grand opening last Saturday after four years of work and planning.

It is one of the four food forests supported by a grant held by the Tolowa Dee-ni’ Nation.

The Food Forest mimics natural forest ecosystems, but uses edible plants in an effort to provide a sustainable garden.
